Imagine if the comfort and confidence levels in your body increased as you gained awareness of your internal sensations. To have an experience of the body that originates from inside (internal sensations) and extends out (to the perception and appearance) can greatly change your experience of yourself. Working this way facilitates the process of releasing habits of self-contempt that affect and often distort how you see your body. In this integrative process you will also move toward emotional resolutions of experiences that are likely connected to the self-contempt. We begin to process your experiences in a more inclusive way – allowing for mental, emotional and physical experiences to increase your insights around how your body is integrally linked to how you feel and think. As you begin to increase your ability to tolerate your feelings and sensations it is likely your sense of feeling whole and complete will grow. Through this process you can begin to feel a sense of acceptance and trust in your body allowing for more embodied experiences.
