About Me
I believe my role in our relationship is to help you integrate your experiences so that you can move forward with more resiliency, strength, and openness.
Prior to becoming a psychotherapist I worked in the arts, both teaching and exhibiting. The process of inquiry that makes creating art so rewarding is similar to the curiosities that arise when I work with clients. This spirit of curiosity makes for effective and meaningful therapy. I have found that remaining open and attending to what arises each session yields the most exciting and constructive results for my clients. It is my great honor to participate in this process and to witness such profound journeys as people discover how to affect changes that open their lives to more possibilities.
I am a certified Somatic Experiencing Practitioner and also a certified Kundalini Yoga & Meditation instructor. I have studied and practiced Buddhist and Taoist meditation with Tanda Tashjian for over 15 years. I have deep respect for the tradition and practice of meditation and the many ways it compliments the therapeutic process.
I received my MA in Psychology from Antioch University and previously an MFA from Otis College of Art and Design and a BA from Art Center College of Design.
